Our journeys (Part 1.)
At last, I have some free time to blog again! One of my excuses is that my Fiancé was at home who is on the roads of Europe most of the time. For this reason, He surprised me with a journey to Tokaj - yeah, He hadn't had enough from driving of thousands of kilometres, He needed another few hundreds and some rest far far away... In fact, this was our first vacation together and I can't wait till the next one! Well, this was the second time I visited Tokaj, but 2005 was long ago, so I was really curious of the changes of these years. And I can tell, there were, goods and bads too. Even the beginning of our journey wasn't as easy as we thought to be. Gy. arrived home from work much later than we expected, and that brightful, sunny Saturday had other surprises as well. Until Eger, we really enjoyed the beauty of the places we've driven through, but in Eger, we sadly recognized that we had to pay for parking in the whole city, even though it was Saturday. For example in the capital city, Budapest, parking is free from 6 p.m. on Friday until 6 or 8 a.m. if I remember well... and to tell the truth, we didn't calculate this in our tight budget. Oops. This was a painful fact, as Eger is one of my favourite towns in Hungary. No problem, instead of wondering in Eger, we visited Gy.'s old friend nearby. We countinued our journey a lot after twilight. In fog on serpentine roads. This sounds quite frightening but I can trust my life on my Fiancé, otherwise He wouldn't be my Fiancé, would He? We finally arrived at our accommodation by 7 p.m. We got a nice, neat room with a bathroom, but we had to climb several stairs reaching it. Too bad that our neighbours didn't desire the calm, quiet and peaceful rest as much as we did. Good point that our accommodation was about 100 m far from the riverbend. Probably we left our room last next day, had a short stroll by the river Tisza and in the town center, bought some handmade bonbons filled with wine. Our next stop was Debrecen, where we had lunch, then we went to my future Father-in-law's parent village, Darvas. It was really funny how people mixed my Fiancé with his Dad, just as they do in my Mum's and my case. Gy.'s Uncle really got surprised, as they hadn't met in several years, but he was really pleased, he didn't let us go until nightfall, of course. We were so tired by we arrived back in Szeged, that we almost immediately falled asleep.
